Dutchtown South Community Corporation and Erase the Trace are teaming up for a series of cleanups this year. In July they’re headed back to Dutchtown. Join them at Thomas Dunn Learning Center and help Erase the Trace! Every volunteer gets their own waste reduction toolkit: Water bottle, recycle bin and more! Gloves, bags and lunch will be provided.
Join us for a Cherokee Trash Walk and Audit on August 20th. The walk will start at Cherokee and Gravois at 12:00 pm and go down Cherokee and the alleys picking up trash along the way. Jenn DeRose from Green Dining Alliance will do a professional trash audit to identify the problems in our trash and recycling.
Benton Park West’s monthly cleanup and social hour starts at the statue at Cherokee and Jefferson. Clean up and then head to Teatopia for some tea and smoothies. More info at the Facebook event page.

So Fresh So Clean So Creative Southside and Gravois Park Neighborhood Association are having an alley clean up! There will be a dumpster located near Gravois Park so large items can be tossed. Time to spruce up Gravois Park! Clean up the pavilion, prepare the plants for winter, and perform some general cleaning duties. Local college students will also be there to help. The more people helping, the more gets done!
Join youth from our Cherokee Street neighborhoods as they undertake an effort to clean up the streets and alleys in our community and neighborhood.
Come help the Marine Villa Neighborhood Association mulch the butterfly garden around the South Broadway Firehouse and enjoy some barbecue when you’re done.
It’s the first work day of the season at the Pride of Potomac Garden. Let them know you’re coming on the Facebook event page.
The Saturday before Earth Day, get together with your neighbors and several Dutchtown organizations including the St. Anthony of Padua Men’s Club, DT2, the Dutchtown Community Improvement District, Dutchtown South Community Corporation, Urban Eats Cafe, and more to help clean up Dutchtown! We’ll have trash bags, gloves, and tools for you to use.
