May is Preservation Month, when we celebrate places that matter to us and what makes them meaningful. Particular attention is paid to preservation of historic architecture, an ongoing endeavor throughout St. Louis and specifically in Dutchtown. As reported by NextSTL, STL Open Streets is relaunching in Dutchtown this year! On Saturday, June 2nd, Compton Avenue will be closed to cars from Cherokee to Meramec. Neighbors will be encouraged to walk, bike, and play in the open street.
