Join Dutchtown artist Kyle Brandt-Lubart for Remnants, Shadows & Pathways, a public art installation in Dutchtown’s new Pocket Park on Virginia next to the VAL Garden!

Remnants, Shadows & Pathways is the result of a year-long project by Kyle Brandt-Lubart with support from a RAC Artist Support grant. The piece utilizes discarded objects found within the Dutchtown footprint to create an assemblage sculpture inspired by the neighborhood’s history, nuanced identity, and the diverse array of people who have shaped the community. The installation explores forces that have influenced human movement within Dutchtown, the interplay between looking back and stepping forward, and what it means to equitably nurture a shared sense of home. Experience how Remnants, Shadows & Pathways intermingles with the landscape of the VAL PocketPark and honors the natural beauty of materials that are imbued with their own grit, texture, and storied existence.

This is a family-friendly event featuring music by DJ Jillian and local food and drinks. All are welcome to come see this wonderful addition to Dutchtown’s newest public space!
